If that’s true (?), it’s the first time I’ve ever heard it! I’ve always thought he just wasn’t happy with the first half performance and being 2-0 down?

It was just a rumour at the time .....of that incident a world class keeper shame he never made it to the World cup .....

As it is the 80s is still invariably identified as a RS decade. Beaten only by fatigue on a day when the temperature at Wembley was in the 90s.
