I thought this may have been Bingham's goal but I have just found the photo on Getty images, the caption is "Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Brian Reeves looks on as a shot hits the side netting during the Football League Division One match between Blackburn Rovers and Everton at Ewood Park on March 31, 1961"

6th September 1969. Everton's Howard Kendall chased down by Derby County centre half Roy McFarland. -in our first defeat of that season beaten 2-1 HK scored a great volley for us -we went on to win the league championship that season anyway - in style -

I got taken to that game at The Baseball Ground...there was congestion in the ground and I got separated from my eldest bro. The Police put us kids round by the corner flag and the televised game was on Match of the Day that Saturday night after we got back. I forgot when we were watching it and shouted "there I am Mum, sittin' on the pitch..." cue murder breaking out. Think our Jim escaped to the toilet with the Footy Echo. Funnily enough, I was in Howard's esteemed company with someone else for a swift bevvy one night and I reminded Howard about how great that goal was and he was, typically, very modest. Its on You Tube, by the way.

Kingy would have been 65 today - he was one of the most beloved characters at Everton in the 70s and 80s. - lets hope the lads today win for him, & every blue fan
