I played with Stuart for Birkdale United,he was a year older than me, christ he was quick, think he was the 100/400/800 metres champion/record holder in the North West,great finisher too, played three games for us I think, then had a stellar career with Chester and ended up having a testimonial against Everton,one of my own mates up here tells me he is now a milkman up in Southport and a member of the Southport Blues,aah well, once Everton has touched you eh Stuey?

Mike Heaton got a signed pennant with his autograph on it with the players was trying to make out the autographs on it at the time I got it he was the only one who could write his name properly lol

That dreadful semi-final Sandy wearing no 12 substitute for Brian Labone was no match for John Toshack - the team was sadly broken up to quickly by the Catt soon after this blow - 1-0 up & losing 2-1 after being the better team until that injury to Labby -

I'm not sure that team was broken up, it seemed to just fall apart and implode at the same time - not an easy trick.
