….might be Trevor Hockey with Tony Currie in the background. Hockey died of a heart attack aged just 43.

Hard to imagine but footballers with a beard was an usual site back in the day.

My first job on leaving school in May 1981 was a summer job at Pontins Ainsdale before heading off to college in the September,Trevor Hockey was the football coach there and what a good bloke he was too,RIP.

Look at the length of that grass! And those letters in the background, am I right in remembering they were for the other scores in the league?

That old Goodison Road Stand was such a thing of beauty, always makes me think it epitomises "Old School Everton"back in the days when the others used to look up at us.
