Was the mascot chosen because he won a very young Jimmy Gabriel lookalike competition?
In a way these two were made for each other. Diminutive in stature, flame haired and talented, winners with big hearts. Lulu seems to be giving Bally a booze fueled version of her big hit Shout lol
Looks a little reminiscent of his goal of a lifetime a few few months earlier at Wembley.A packed Goodison Road in its splendour - Everton 2 Leicester City 0 in Oct 1966 at Goodison Park. Derek Temple slots the ball past Gordon Banks to make it 2-0 in Division 1 -

Wonderful photo of Latch. I was there as a 11 year old with my late Dad. He had not long signed for us. St Andrews was "moody" that day. I can remember it well. My old man steering me away from trouble. There are a couple of closed threads, Boss Threads at that as well, I suggest that these should be merged and reopened by a mod as they are too good to be shut down forever.
3 weeks after destroying West Germany in the World Cup final Alan Ball makes his Everton debut at Fulham & scores the only goal of the game, pictured here with England team mates Ray wilson & George Cohen.
Go back to your 'arl club & not celebrate scoring ?
Not The Latch, back at St Andrews he puts 1 past his brother in the Brum Goal and by the looks of it enjoys it.
Brilliant photo. I was on Scottie Rd with thousands of other blues, who came out to celebrate. Thanks for posting.
there is a photo of McCartney at the 68 final, but its not that one. At the final, McCartney wore an amber and blue scarf (the colours we wore that day). There is a colour picture of him walking with the crowds, up wembley way. It may he on this site, somewhere.Do you know where the P McCartney one was taken? Is it the 68 cup final?
7th March 1981 Peter Eastoe slips the ball past Joe Corrigan to score in the FA CUP against Man City after Adrian Heath had headed a cross down to him in a 2-2 draw, we lost the replay - doh -
