Martin Murray the wonder kid
Really excited me as a kid us getting this lad, I recall the Echo and Daily Post headlines ,touted as the "new George Best"everyone and I mean everyone was after this lad, we got him which tells you all about the pulling power our club had back then, alas quite similar to the David Smallman deal,it through one reason or another just didn't work out for both parties.
 
I had the identical reaction to Murray, I couldn't see what the fuss was about. I hope things panned out for him after the Everton interlude. Of the rest of your list, Billy Kenny was the real stand-out for me. I can't believe he didn't make a good career for himself. He did a lengthy interview a month ago, in which a lot became much clearer. It's well worth a listen:
