Astle broke my heart - just how did we lose that? Was the constant question all the way home...we stopped in the first pub we found to drown our sorrows, couldn't even get into that, left after 3 pints
Villa hurt, but not as bad, only, 95%. We settled for the draw and paid the price - probably my first official 'Everton That', little did I know...
They must have been the best midfield trio ever -The saddest thing for me from those years was the failure of Ball, Kendall et al to claim an FA Cup Winners' medal.
