Thirty eight years down the line he drove me and my two granddaughters across to the game on Saturday. Both the girls "get" Everton so I consider my job done in ensuring that two generations follow the Toffees.
We all agreed the atmosphere was the best they had experienced and the day all around was brilliant. I live in hope that silverware is won soon if only as repayment for what they've put up with over the past years.
