My mam worked in a dry cleaners in Bromborough in the sixties.
She came home one afternoon and placed on the kitchen table Brian's wage slip that she'd found in a jacket he'd brought in to be cleaned.
From memory it was 1965 or 1966. Take home pay showed a basic of £65 per week but he had a win bonus of £20 on top. In comparison my old fella was on £16 per week at Levers.
