Old Everton Pictures

I have been trying to identify this game for a few months. It looks like Gregg in goal so I assume it is United at Home. Harry Gregg started playing for Utd in 1957 so I looked at the match reports and photos for the Echo and Post for 57 -62 but have not been successful so far. Can anyone identify the player appearing to shot.
Jimmy Harris?

I think that may be Harris out on the wing, just under the ball, but I could be wrong.
Before my time. Brought up some pics of teams in that era too small for Hickson so plumped for Harris. Assuming it was a 3pm kick off must have been some injuries as Goodison Road clock shows ten to four.

I think it’s Eddie Thomas scoring against Man Utd 1959-60

Jimmy Harris, Bill Foulkes and Harry Gregg in picture.

Another query. This is supposed to be a goal scored by Dave Hickson but no clue as to the match. Can anyone identify the other players or the opponents so I can identify it.
QUERY Hickson goal but when and against whom.webp

Match programme for a ‘Texaco Cup’ tie between Everton and Hearts from 1973.

The competition was set up in 1970 by oil giant, Texaco as an Anglo-Scottish cup for clubs who had just missed out on European places. Some Irish clubs were also invited to take part.

The first season proved to be very popular with Hearts just losing out to Wolves in a two-legged final that attracted big crowds.

After Texaco pulled it’s sponsorship in 1975, the tournament struggled on for a few more years as the quality of opposition in England increasingly went to the lower leagues before the tournament was abandoned in 1981.

In this particular tie, Hearts won 1-0 at Goodison with a goal from Hearts’ iconic 70s striker, Drew Busby in front of just over 12,000 fans. The return leg at Tynecastle drew over double that, but the 25,000 fans didn’t get to witness any more goal-scoring.
