As a southsider Peter was much closer to me , born like me in the Borough of Dun Laoghaire, while Tommy, a legend, was a northsider.
However, the two ended up with Rovers and of course joined the School of Science together. Peter was Tommy's best man.
I never met Tommy, but my chats with Peter on the 46A bus to see Rovers at Milltown will never leave me.
