Bally learnt a lot of his early craft playing alongside Ray Charnley. Supplied many goals for the big fellah, one of the best number nines in Tangerine history.

Some decent players in that side must be around the year 1965. Tony Waiters who replaced Westy who is absent from the team sheet here. And Welshman Glyn James a fine servant for the Pool for many years. Solid as a rock he was at number 5.
