It’s not McDermott mate, as he can be seen in the photo (he must have got involved moments later, hence the red card for him and Gary “Conditioner” Stanley). It’s Souness or Kennedy, I’d say- judjing by the next series of photos, as they joined in the melee.

Good spot. If I remember rightly, Garry Stanley did a really bad foul on someone (David Johnson?) so McDermott punched him. The photo must be of the subsequent melee. Amazing that whoever threw the second punch (Kennedy or Souness) didn't get sent off too.
