FLASHBACK to1 8/08/1973: Back in the days of youre, the losing FA Cup semi-finalists competed to see which one of them qualified for a non-existent bronze medal and the other nothing. The match lasted just five years, running between 1970 and 1975...

….that Alex Young goal has got to be one of my favourite Everton goals of all time. I loved how Ray Wilson used to stop the ball, take a few steps back, look up & then deliver the pass. It was trademark, then Young is just so sublime. Unbelievable touch and technique, the one he chipped over the bar was also majestic.

i think United were League Champions and won the European Cup at the end of that season. Terrific clip, Joey.
