When Sunderland came up, it was never a happy ground for us ....... they only went the that once as it was a windy cold ground in the winter....
The same gang of miners went over the Pennines to Leeds in a FACUP - 1-1 draw - on the way back they stopped at this small pub - the bitter was like nectar - they were heavy drinkers in an hour the locals came in - a pint of bitter please the Landlord that lot has polished it all off & I am not putting a new barrel on It's too late lol
