That is incredible footage. Should have had a pen at the end there. Looks like the ref gave an indirect free kick for obstruction.

Blatently taken out - in that era you could get an obstruction foul inside the penalty area - Joe Royle reckons the referee had been bought as the home team took him to a casino the night before - plus it was discovered later he was accused of being a dodgy referee in other European cup ties - that was a nailed on pen ..... Whittle was kicked in the air not obstructed.....
