It was & it was not, because of its shape it was misleading as it went way back under the old grandstand it held such a volume of fans plus the dugout area in front of it cages etc detracted from its importance of contributing such an atmosphere ......the Kop held 23,000 as a guess the Goodison road side may have been not far off as our gates standing record was 78,000.....
