He was the type of player if injured -The Everton team & fans realised how vital he really was ..... pure class came out of the youth team set up where he played as a forward -

I went to a Derby game at the pit with my late father who seen him for the first time as he worked shifts - he marked a certain Roger Hunt out of the game Bally hit a post in a 0-0 draw - My father asked me who is that no 10 - why I asked - he's brilliant - he's like that every week dad I replied -
What a player he is going to be .... stated my late father - he was spot on .....
