Bobby Smith scores against Everton in a 10-4 win in 1958. Bill Nicholson's first match in charge - Jimmy Harris scored a hat trick for the Blues - a young, inexperienced Albert Dunlop in goal had a mare by all reports - fancy bagging a hat trick & losing the game by that score - doh -

Ah Jimmy Harris, I never saw him play but met him in later life. It’s great to have these reminders of past Goodison Greats, sadly it’s often only when they pass away that we remember them.

Great memories, and I feel my role in the victory was never acknowledged. I sat watching the second half holding a photo of the team up to the black and white Tv and willing them on. Happy days.
