Don't know how true but there were rumours around then that Johnson, Whittle and a couple of others were moved on allegedly for extra curricular activities!!!

Yep I heard that too, but the analysis of this thread as great as The Catt started his last best signing was Howard Kendall & that was 1967/68 - he signed some rubbish after that - selling Bally & his health was not great - he was given a ten-year contract to a great manager in his pomp two championships & the FA CUP .....
