I probably posted before about this, but my first car was an old Beetle and I had a sticker in the windscreen "Goodison Park Home of Everton Football Club".

I just got out of it near the shops and Peter came along...I swear he went on his knees when he saw the sticker.

"I went to a High School on a High Mountain ".

Never forgot those words.

Attendance: 43,605 Everton: Rankin, Labone, Brown, Gabriel, Rees, Morrissey, Temple, Pickering, Vernon, Young, Stevens Leeds: Sprake, Reaney, Bell, Bremner, Charlton, Hunter, Giles, Storrie, Belfitt, Collins, Johanneson - the first time players had to leave the pitch the game was so dirty - sandy Brown was sent off after only five minutes as Giles studded his chest when sandy was upright - Sand punched his lights out - the referee never punished Giles - form then on it was a bloodbath of a game Derek temple got hit that hard he ended over the wall in the Goodison road - again no punishment - the players were ordered to leave the field - it was almost abandoned it was that bad -

Dirty Leeds under our former Captain had emerged -
