Top right photo particularly poignant.

Two local Blackpool lads who were smuggled out of town to find fame and fortune and glory down the Lancashire coast. And of course a Barrow boy who became a Blackpool star quickly who went on to become a big noise, in a squeaky sort of way, at your local rivals.
