27th October 1984 Andy Gray watches as a header from Graeme Sharp enters the net for the Blues Fifth against United to complete the rout - Joe Mercer, former blues' player, was there that day to state it was the most complete performance from any team in blue he had seen in his time -

This and the Bayern match, were probably the best games I ever saw us play, blue tinted specs on of course, but man, we were a force to be reckoned with.
 

Yeah was Joey.

But both thar and the Bayern match for me, were ultimate Everton in my mind.
Mine was the 2-0 away win at the pit in 1970 -we murders them & they stillhad an outside chance of the title themselves stood on the Kop with my older brother with a out 2-3 000 blues it held 23;000 standing all ti kettle affair- we got our tickets at 2- 45 pm off a ticket tout - no other tickets for anywhere else in the ground ....
The Holy Trinity ran riot that day - John Hurst MOTM in defence & his forward raids - The Anfield Road end full of blues too--
