I thought getting Henry Newton was a duff buy but compared to many of EFC's buys in the last9th January 1971 Burnley keeper, Tony Waiters, is left grasping air as Henry Newton scores in a 2-2 draw - with Bally and a certain young Martin Dobson looking on -

He mainly played at full back in the end - I read where he wanted to join another Midlands club before joining us - he reluctantly joined us as we offered more in transfer money plus he got better wages - he was no Henry the Hammer of the player we signed though always seemed to be okish - never bad - but IMO not as good as he was with his former club - he did leave us going back to Derby ? - I think ....I thought getting Henry Newton was a duff buy but compared to many of EFC's buys in the last
