Old Everton Pictures

2 X 'blue' Both teams changed.

*Goes out on limb*
Except for cup games (and testimonials) show me a home league game...this side of WW2, aka, most peoples living memory...where we played in anything other than blue.
Photo today v Coventry at Goodison playing in white & black shorts as discussed - also at home to Colchester we played in Amber technically point was we were dran away &,it was switched for their advantage of gate recipients - we honoured that in goodwill to play in our Amber away kit....

Yet in the 1960s in a short era we played at home in our then away kit in Cup competitions starting v Inter Milan at home -

1966 FA Cup that kit was used in white in early rounds home & away in the photos i post -

The best away kit I liked was the 1959 early 1960s horizontal 3 striped shirt shirt ...

I have googled to no avail the reason why we played at home only in FA 1966 cup shirts of white shirts & black shorts in the above eras at home-
My older brother stated the shock when we ran out at home v Inter Milan 1963 no one in the crowd could understand why Inter Milan played in their home kit at Goodison ?
in the away leg we played again in white in the 1-0 defeat ...
