Peter Farrell.Peter joined the Toffees, along with Tommy Eglington, in 1946. An inspirational leader who deserved to win silverware with the Blues (much like Seamus Coleman). Peter became player-manager at Tranmere Rovers in 1957. He passed away in 1999.

1968 - Everton 1-0 Southampton. A goal from John Hurst saw the Blues victorious over the Saints at Goodison. The win saw EFC remain in 3rd place in the table.
1980 - Everton 4-3 Brighton & Hove Albion. EFC won a 7 goal thriller at Goodison thanks to goals from Peter Eastoe (2), Steve McMahon & a late winner from Imre Varadi.
1975 - Everton 5-2 Birmingham City. A big win for EFC, with goals from Bob Latchford, George Telfer, Gary Jones, Martin Dobson & Bryan Hamilton sealing the win. Howard Kendall & Peter Withe scored for Birmingham City.
1890 - Derby County 2-6 Everton. A big away win for the Blues during what would be their first title-winning season. Thomas Wyllie scored 4 goals for Everton, becoming the first EFC player to do so in one match. The other EFC goals came from Fred Geary & Alec Brady.
1998 - Everton 1-0 Southampton. The Blues’ £4.5m summer signing, Ibrahima Bakayoko finally scored his first PL goal for Everton as the Saints were beaten at Goodison. The win lifted EFC to 14th.
1982 - Ipswich Town 0-2 Everton. A massive win for under-pressure EFC boss Howard Kendall, with the club picking up their first win in 10 games, away at the previous season's league runners up. Kevin Sheedy & Kevin Richardson scored for EFC.
Bob's brother Dave Latchford was in goal for Birmingham that day
