We almost signed him as part of the deal of Bobby Collins going to Leeds as part of exchange & a fee - as he was unhappy in & out of the Leeds team - then a player at Leeds got injured & manager Revie the manager seen how great he was going to be & upset the Catt on reneging on the deal - so 12 months later The Catt sold his captain Collins for a small fee - thinking he was past it....
In 1970, he admitted he made a hasty grave mistake selling Bobby Collins in that era - then sold Bally in 1971 - even Labby stated on retirement as great as the Catt was - two massive mistakes were made selling world-class both captains at the time .....
