Gabby & the Catt 19666 ST Georges hall homecoming -- we signed Gabby I think from Dundee for £35,000 as he was supposed to be the next Dave Mackay - he was miles better than that dirty sod could play Centre forward too - hard but fair ..... some fans stated he was sold far too soon -
Till he got targeted -Dave Mackay etc - poor Skippy Husband he was so fast...no protection in his era -
The 1953/54 team below got us back into the big time a few seasons after relegation to the old 2nd Division back to where we belonged in the old Division 1 - what was sweet as we came up the other lot over the park were swapping places with us in 1954 staying in Division 2 till 1963/64..... then the devil took hold - for @Bluerover & co -
