Everton midfielder focus: John Ebbrell.This EFC youth product who, if not quite hitting the heights expected, gave a decade of excellent service, not only in midfield but sometimes at full-back etc. So unlucky to miss out on the 1995 FA Cup Final. 265 appearances, 19 goals.
Everton midfielder focus: Stuart McCall.One of four big signings in the summer of 1988, the energetic midfielder displaced Peter Reid from the side & made 142 appearances, scoring 10 goals - mostly notably a brace in the 1989 FA Cup Final. Later enjoyed success at Rangers.

Paul Bracewell.Heswall-born Paul joined the Toffees from Sunderland in 1984 & quickly established himself in the team’s engine room, winning multiple honours. Sadly, lost two years to an ankle injury & left in 1989, but still had a long playing career.
Peter Reid.A boyhood Red who became an Everton Giant. 13 goals in 235 appearances - and played a key role in transforming the Blues’ fortunes from 1983/84, onwards. A leader in the changing room and on the pitch.
