Old Everton Pictures

Nottingham Forest. Action from the match. November 1969 - notice the crowded caged Boys pen in the top right hand corner of the Gwladys street -

February 1980 - as a prelude to the Rovers FA Cup tie v Aston Villa, the Rovers boss, Howard Kendall invited ex Rovers greats Keith Newton and Bryan Douglas to join the training session. Keith, Duncan McKenzie and Howard look on as Duuglas prepares for action. - he had a market stall on Clitheroe market, a class player in his day -

Virtually ran the game on his own Vs EFC in 63-64 Which we lost 2-4, as he made the bullets for Pickering's Hat-trick so much so that Harry did the for then, unprecedented move of having Dennis Stevens on him to man Mark him the next time we played them at home.
It worked up to a point as we managed to only lose 2-3 - and that was with Pickering on our side this time

89 and still with us - proper footballer, iirc, he started as a winger and moved inside to midfield

Evidently Bally admired him as a youngster plus my older brother also stated he was a special player as you point out - now & then hey there he was selling tools on Clitheroe market in the early 1980s when I lived up there for a spell -
