Tony Cottee took just 34 seconds to get off the mark in an Everton shirt and bagged a hat-trick on debut after his British record transfer from West Ham United but during six turbulent years at Goodison Park was fated to never quite match the startling promise of that opening salvo despite 99 goals in Royal Blue and some memorable moments -
