He seems like a shy guy.. Any stories about him?
He came through the youth system, signed from the north-east - I watched him play in the youth cup success - he was so fast as a winger & a roving forward little did I know he would be in the team I watched that won the 1970 championship - he could play anywhere up front & scored many goals his nickname Skippy was the way he ran - -

IMO - Dave Mackay blunted his career with the worst tackle I have ever witnessed in a league cup game at Goodison - Mackay was not even booked for a blatant sending off Jimmy got free on the half way line running in on goal - Mackay double footed took him out waist high .... Jimmy was out for a good while after being stretchered off -

No protection back then for fast wingers & Jimmy suffered - he was the opposition main target to take him out - he was such a threat - cost him an international place IMO - he slowed down with all his injuries, & moved to Luton Town then in a lower division ..
