Old Everton Pictures

Only an assumption on the game being against Sheff.U.
But the 3 players you mention Eggs had 4 games between them, two of them only played once with Smith participating in 2 games, never to be seen again.

...I suppose much depends on whether the identification of that game is correct. There was a few one-off appearances around that time. Derek Smith, David Turner and Aiden Maher.
I wasn't convinced on Husband earlier, but by process of elimination, the season IS 66-67, it IS at home, three teams play in those stripes then, all starting with 'S' Stoke, S'land and Sheff U, Derek Smith is out - he only played once, at home Vs Arsenal.

When you've eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable must be the truth

Husband it must be then...though it must be the worst picture ever.

Haha!!
I am a little blob in the background of the photo top left!!! Main stand just in between the two exits near the centre of the photo! STH there from 1970-71 season when it opened to 1977 when went to uni!! Good seat, especially for that end of the pitch.

Me and Joey in that lot ...61,452..
Street End boy me...
They had Law,Kidd,Best and Charlton
But we had The Holy Trinity...3-1
Me to - in what is now GS4

The whole game is on Vimeo...one of the few examples of the Holy Trinity AND Alex Young
The Blues rip the Champions and that seasons European Cup winners a new one
See how the emerging Harvey calmly disposses legends
Watch the Elegant Fancy Dan, Alex Young covering both Wright and Wilson, diving in to the tackle and setting off down the wing with the ball.
Marvel at Young (at the wind down end of his career) as he chests the ball down, takes a step and buries if from the edge of the box... Imagine if a sky darling or rs scored that.

Answers the question often asked by youngsters @Groucho for example, (but not you alone mate)
Yeah, you arlarses are always going on, but were they really that good?
YEP...games like that were par for the course
