I've got a horrible feeling that this was the moment that Brian Labone got injured in the semi at Old Trafford in 71 v the RS. Sandy Brown came on as sub and we lost 2-1 after Bally had put us ahead.
We had just got knocked out of European cup a few days earlier on away goals to Panathanakos.
I reckon the worst week ever as an Evertonian. Thereafter the whole magical team of 1970 imploded. Bally went to Arsenal.
