Until around two or three years ago, it was an exception to the rule as it had three to four high-street banks still open within a few seconds of each other.

Now, they're all closed, and you have to venture either to Allerton Road because Woolton has closed too.

The Edinburgh (The Eddy) is still open, as is the cricket club at the top.

My Gran told me how her and her mate walked from under the bridge to Knotty Ash to 'see' The Americans, which might help explain why I have relatives in NewJersey:blush:
