My cousin thinks it might have been in the grounds of Cardinal Allen Grammar School. He remembers it as he visited there with rugby teams in the late 60s/early 70s.
I went to Cardinal Allen in the 70's and at the time the building was occupied by the priests who taught at the school IIRC.….my son went there and it’s a really good shout. There’s certainly a ‘mansion’ near the main building but I have to admit not thinking of that when I saw the picture. I’d often park outside it when I went to watch him playing footy for the school and some of the comments with the pic suggest your cousin is spot on.
That's where to go school mate.
Yes, my cousin thought that it was where the priests lived. Also, he seemed to remember that there was a rugby pitch in front of the house. I lived in the city for a period in the 1980s and I drove past it a few times. The main building of the school looked rather old and I think it was called Cardinal Herman by then. I assume it has been rebuilt by now.I went to Cardinal Allen in the 70's and at the time the building was occupied by the priests who taught at the school IIRC.
