Was looking at pics of SGH and the pic could possibly have been taken from the end elevation with the tram in the foreground heading down towards Queen’s Sq. But as you say the aspect seems wrong but things have changed so much overtime.

Isn’t it a shame how things are just left to deteriorate, the old gates look brilliant. Don’t know if it’s because of cost, vandalism or lack of foresight in the case local politicians.
