It’s hard to tell, but if that’s the church on the left just past the road, Than I’m currently working on 2 houses that are getting built on the left before the road.

The Grapes pub on the right facing the swimming baths was one of my earliest drinking haunts.

I went there once to watch the planes fly in & take off, it was a very small airport in those days -

Way back in the day Manchester & L'pool Councils were jointly offered the monster US airfield/base, with, long, long military grade runways at Burtonwood to develop as a passenger hub
The Mancs looking at Ringway and its pre-war facilities and said yep we're in.
LCC, allegedly still fuming at the building of the ship canal said No, we have our own perfectly good airport thank you.
Some years late...due to the growth of plane travel and planes themselves...plans were put forward for a bigger Runway at Speke, 10,000ft iirc (not as big as Burtonwood) which would involve going into the estuary at a slight angle to get the distance.
Then they got the cost - How Much !?!?
Nah.
A few years later they built a smaller...mostly, usless version...for more or less the same price.
