….certainly plenty of pics on here of her, so sad it’s ended like it has. I can remember going to a disco on her in the ‘70s, many of the Mersey Ferries saw service in WW2.

economic downturn has always resulted in things going up in flames. that and vandalism. so many things to save as part of cultural historic tradition, so little cash with which to do it. you know who's talons I lay the blame at.

….i’ve had plenty of visits to St Paul’s eye Hospital in the Royal in recent times and although I rarely use my bus pass, I enjoy walking past my old street by the Hippodrome and waiting at the bus stop opposite Brougham Terrace. As you know, Mill Rd Hospital sat just behind.

Sadly, iirc, allegedly there was a cancer 'black spot' down wind of the chimney...but seemingly it was a statistical anomaly and nothing to do with the smoke from the copper smelting and insulation burning.
