Had a look at it recently and it is literally a new housing estate.

Did the club ever capitalise on this? Interested to know what the outcome was as I'm sure the club owned the land before moving to FF in 2007.

We made about 10million from what I recall reading.

Pretty much and now we lease Finch Farm as back them we had a short term strategy when it came to money and we done some dreadful commercial deals.

I heard similar, but he gave the tenants an option: Hike, or; 2x free tickets to see the Jersey Boys (attendance mandatory) every month.

I hear now that the rent is voluntarily going up 45%

On retirement, he became a regular at the training ground plus at Goodison - he never returned to Anfield after his bust up with Bob Paisley .....

On the sale of Bellfield - it was a while before that estate was built due to planning permission .....

…his house was adjacent to Bellfield and is still there.

The old Everton groundsman was a regular visitor to the new housing estate when it was being built.

Played at Bellfield back in the day & spent many Saturday mornings watching the Lancashire League games.

…oooh, I can only think he might’ve been friendly with Stewart Imlach but I’m not sure.
