Up until very recently, our league top scorer was from a winger that was only at Everton for 18 months (Kanchelskis), in the past 25 - 30 years.

Its safe to say that from the early 90's onwards, we've not been blessed with a goalscoring striker until now.

I don't think Arsenal will want to sell Giroud at all.
Sanchez seems to want out, Welbeck can't be relied on to stay fit and Lacazette still has to prove himself in this league.
Giroud is a consistent goalscorer and nearly always does well when he comes on or starts.
A transfer to Everton will weaken Arsenal and strengthen Everton and Wenger won't want that.

alternative perspective mate, they are buying a bloke who is behind giroud in the french pecking order and maybe one of his worries was about giroud still being here
