Saw them around that time in NYC. Either ‘97 or ‘98. Great, great concert. Saw them several years later and still good but not the sameWhole album is great. If I could choose to see any band at a certain time it would probably be smashing pumpkins at about 97. Before Billy Corgan disappeared right up his own hoop.
Aye after Jimmy chamberlain was chucked out with the keyboardist dying they were never the same. People talk about Siamese Dream but Melon Collie and the Infinite sadness was more ambitious and complete than anything in the ‘rock’ genre at that time and pretty much since in my opinion. Loved their Bsides album also.Saw them around that time in NYC. Either ‘97 or ‘98. Great, great concert. Saw them several years later and still good but not the same

Definitely. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness is a masterpiece. Nothing quite like it. That said, even though it was different I kinda liked the Adore album and even the Zwan stuff ?Aye after Jimmy chamberlain was chucked out with the keyboardist dying they were never the same.
