Vim Fuego

Player Valuation: £35m
Has anyone ever done this ? I'm mulling over placing an order at Asda because i can't be arsed physically going there. Do you always get what you ordered and is it worth the £5 they charge for delivery ?

Dont quote me on it though Vim, just going by what that thread says on MoneySavingexpert.

Normally spot on though, although never personally shopped using ASDAs website.

Before buying anything online though, its always worth a search on moneysavingexpert (y)

That same free delivery code I gave is on here to http://www.myvouchercodes.co.uk/discounts/asda.co.uk

So looks good. Let me know if you order anything and it works.

Also M4-TT-FD-49 if above code doesnt work

its ok mate but if they aint got what you ordered they send a replacement!

its happend too me a few times. once i ordered a 4 pint carton of milk and got a bag off onions instead!! cuz they didnt have a 4 pint carton! so instead off 4 single pints they sent me a bag of onions!! work that one out!

It's usually spot on Vim. I use Tesco all the time. You can even get your paper delivered (paperboys don't last long round here).

Although, like Fozzy, I have had the odd unusual replacement. I ordered a fancy pack of biscuits, Green & Blacks organic something or other; they had none - fair enough - so they sent....... 2 tins of Corned Beef.

I also got Beansprouts instead of Brussel Sprouts, though I can see how a 'tard could get those confused at least.

To be fair to them, if they haven't got an item you ordered (unusual) it is usually replaced with something very similar. If you still aren't happy just ring them up and they refund you for that item (I got 2 free tins of corned beef :unsure:).

It was Tesco own. A grade above Value (blatantly just minced fingers) but still covered in that horrid yellow fat. Even the dog turned his nose up at it.

One thing that always worries me about corned beef is if you check the ingredients (on some) it clearly states;

Beef,
Cooked beef,
Salt,
* Some other stuff.

Hmmmm, hang on a minute!?

*MRM

mechanically recovered meat.

oh lord. although that said, they do class the testicles, udders, ears, cheeks, hooves as actual 'meat' that is 'beef'.

and is anyone else noticing the scaling up of the supermarket wars with regards commercials?

Ugh, the term that turns my stomach is 'connective tissue'. Used in crap like Chicken drummers and nuggets.

My butcher always has a few pigs heads on his counter, I asked him what for and he said 'For me sausages, lad.' Sort of put me off them a bit. Sausages are just lips and arseholes, as my grandad used to say.

some are, but if you know someone on the pig farm that can get you the premium sausages, your in for a treat. honest, course, textured sausages, no bread/biscuit, just meat and a bit of fat, well cured. boodaful.

I love a quality sausage :unsure:

Used to know a guy that ran Livesey sausages in Leigh. They did a quality wild boar sausage which i bought pounds and pounds of. Then one drunken night he admitted to me that 'wild boar' was in actual fact just old pork.

Not sure if he meant old pigs or pork that was out of date.

They were good anyway.

They also did a beaut called Flamethrower. Though it had the obvious effects (see thread Toilet Trouble).

They eventually went bankrupt, this may or may not have been anything to do with them making a festive sausage to my recipe. Turkey, stuffing and cranberry. (it was awful)
