on your conscience it is.

a smidgen of chilli in with an all pork banger can be a treat, specific to bbq's so the smoke is infused and brings out the sweet fruityness of the chili flesh. (has to be fresh chili, scotch bonnet is excellent, the seeds are dynamite though)

Ahhh barbequed bangers, superb.

I'm wrong because I quite like sausages quite well done.

'Burnt to a crisp, so they can only be identified by their dental records.'

Think we mentioned it before but a bunch of rosemary on the coals aswell, bang on.

i also like them slightly charred, because the fat burns it implements another dimension to the flavours. and they are right on with some lagers.

liveseys are a class sausage, i did a job at their place and the oven in the canteen was loaded to the max with bangers for morning brew, bangers for dinner and bangers for afternoon brew.........an he gave me a load to take home, thinking of having what was called a sausage sizzle in n.z. so will probably be paying them a visit. by the way seems a few of you guys may be closer to me in lowton than i first realised....?

Aye, did you meet Simon Roach?

He was manager there.

Livesey sold up and nobbed off somewhere I think, pretty sure they are gone.

Their cumberland rings were excellent. And the classic thin pork.

What's the big local sausage guys? Yates Greer or something? He made the recipe for those so Livesey were the same.

2 things I miss from round Leigh. Livesey / Yates Greer sausage and Dawsons pies.

I always use Tesco's home shopping as I do mine, my mother's and my auntie's shopping, get it all delivered to my house for further distribution.
You can specify what substitutes you want, or none, I also get wine for one of my neighbours and she will only drink Lambrini (n)..........so if there's no Lambrini she's stuffed! No accounting for taste really.
I would be lost without home shopping. I hate bloody shopping at the best of times so it's been a godsend for me.

Am i expected to give the delivery person a tip for bringing it to my door or shall i save my shiney 20p coin for use in the emergency purchase of a bottle of Toilet Duck....such a dilema

The only things you need to give the driver are the used carrier bags. I thought i was being thoughtful once and ticked the 'no carrier bags' green option.

I just had piles of stuff building up around the kitchen. Not a good idea.

if you buy fruit and veg do they pick the aesthetically pleasing pieces or do you get the mangled, bruised and generally skanky examples?

same with bread, do they pick out the oldest most stale loaf they can find?

All fresh. Never had any problems with fresh produce.

Once or twice I have had very short dated stuff. Ham or milk.

One quick phone call and both items are refunded.

Can't fall off.

I used to be a delivery driver for Tesco, on their personal shopping side. I do know that there are pro's and cons. It is hassle free if you hate shopping yourself and walking around supermarkets but the disadvantage is (and ive seen it) is that the shoppers on the dot.com side are not exactly careful in what they put in and dont inspect the condition of fruit etc. You may not always get the best of whats on offer.
