Other Club Stadium Developments

Thought it might be useful to have a thread / discussion (or general mockery) of other teams stadiums and their future developments.

After following the construction and development of Bramley Moore Dock for the past few years I've also found it interesting following the news of the latest expansions/upgrades or new builds of other teams stadia.
To name but a few Barcelona are redeveloping the Nou Camp, City are expanding their North Stand, Crystal Palace have plans for a new main stand, Villa at expanding their North End, Manchester United have proposed their new circus tent inspired stadium and Newcastle are looking at redeveloping or building a new SJP.

I think the loveable reds have shown that redevelopment leaves you with an ugly stadium. Spurs have shown how to do it in this country.
I think it largely depends on the design, I quite like what Fulham have done with their new stand on the river, Liverpool's problem is that they went ahead with an ugly hole punch shape.

Prescot Cables got a £200,000 grant from the Premier League Stadium Fund -
  • Demolition of the existing outbuilding and installation of dedicated male and female external toilet facilities
  • Upgrades to terracing to enhance spectator comfort and safety
  • Development of a new stadium entrance and exit adjacent to Eaton Park, featuring new turnstiles, improved fencing, and enhanced lighting
  • Replacement of the existing wooden pitch-side perimeter fencing with modern, durable metal fencing

These improvements will significantly enhance the matchday experience for supporters and reflect the club’s long-term commitment to growth and development. The Board of Directors views these investments as a clear demonstration of the club’s strategic vision for the future.

One of the Drone Operators that has been covering BMD is also covering the Etihad expansion, City are increasing the size of their Second Tier behind the goal and also adding corporate spaces and a hotel. It'll be interesting to see if the Friedkins have something similar in mind with Nelson Dock with regards to a hotel etc close to the ground.

It'll take them out of the heart of a community and put them down in a farmer's field.

This, as usual, is all about new housing on brownfield sites.

Boring.

So let the club stagnate, because the ground can't expand?

Make sure the NPL is the highest level?

It's not like Goodison which had a chance of development. This will help the club reach its potential.
