He was about to leave on a free, it was either sell him for whatever we could get or get nothing for him next year. The Raheem from the last 18 months is a completely different player to the one we signed. He's seemed disinterested and his standards dropped alarmingly.
He will get a new lease of life at Chelsea, it's probably the best deal for both Sterling and City.

Big things expected of Cole Palmer too. Although the main worry is that he is too much of a Mahrez clone and offers nothing different if we need to switch things up, like the second half of the Villa game.

Can't be bad having players who've proven capable of winning multiple titles playing in a front 3 of Mahrez, de Bruyne, Gundigan, Silva and with Haaland and Alvarez added to it too! Sure is better than DCL with Rondon as backup.

I don't disagree, but that doesn't change the fact the actual squad is quite small.
