Chelsea are believed to have rejected an incredible offer of up to £75million for Oscar. The bid is understood to have been made by Chinese club Jiangsu Suning who were on Thursday completing the £38million signing of another Brazilian, Alex Teixeira, from Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk, after Liverpool failed to buy the attacking midfielder in the January window. The fee is a new Asian transfer record.

Jiangsu have already signed another Brazilian from Chelsea, acquiring Ramires - a friend of Oscar’s - for £20million last month and are believed to be paying the midfielder £10million-a-year net of tax.

The Chinese Super League club are also planning a move for Yaya Toure at the end of this season, with the growing expectation that he will leave Manchester City in the summer when new manager Pep Guardiola arrives, and are prepared to pay an astonishing £30million-a-year for the Ivorian in wages. Other Chinese clubs also want Toure.
