Other Clubs Summer Transfer Window 2020

Sky made sure to knock off that £300k to keep them below City in the spending stakes.

As a side point, why haven't City spent more? They still need a CB, a LB and probably a striker.

That's probably the only time SKY have not used the old 'net spend' figure:
So far the net spend this window is;
Liverpool £64.62m
City £37.8m

Agreed - we do need a CB, LB & striker. I really can't understand why its not been done already.

I don't know how you can call selling Doherty for 15m and buying Semedo for 37m good business or be upset that we weren't trying to get involved. Yes, Semedo is probably better than Doherty (not a given when changing leagues however), but he is also very likely not 2 and a half times better. Honestly Wolves whole business is not something to get worked up about as they've binned off two of their more consistent performers and replaced them with expensive replacements whose actual level is dubious.

Who says they've finished spending? I would not be surprised if City went long on a couple of signings.

Wolves are having to pay their pittance for the several sweetheart Mendes deals they've gotten over the last couple of seasons (Mountiho, Patricio, Neves, etc). They just paid 37M for Semedo after bailing out Porto by paying double what anyone else would for Fabio Silva. Mendes makes his agent fees, it keeps the club in his "network" solvent, and everyone avoids FFP and paying taxes. In the U.S. they would be prosecuted under RICO.

Got an Egyptian multi billionaire owner

Why I wanted them to go down when everyone else was pulling their plodders over little old Bournemouth being relegated.

I like going to Villa Park but I would also rather Bournemouth had stayed up.

Also, were Villa one of the teams who, to get around FFP, they did something like the owners bought the stadium to themselves for multi millions then leased it back to the club?
