Other Clubs Summer Transfer Window 2020

Don’t know why people think Ake is a strange signing. He’s absolutely quality and a bargain for what some other defenders have been going for lately. I would of been made up if we could of got him.
I'm not so sure of that, yet the fact he meets the category of training in the UK from 17-21 is very important for the likes of City. If Stones is off, he will fill that quota.

Perhaps he'll flourish at City, but for me he isn't a £41m defender; I'll be surprised if he's one of their first choice defenders soon after the window closes.

Two reasons...

1) he is very much left sided, as is laporte & it's hard to see either playing comfortably on the other side, although Ake has done it a few times
2) He can't win a header, weakening one of City's major weaknesses even further

I think they will be buying another one and Ake will be the back up / third choice

Not sure if he’s ‘absolute quality’, but he’s a good player, but rather weak in the air, which isn’t anything new for guardiola defenders. But he’s been bought as a back up really, and is good for home grown quota. So the fact he likely isn’t a starter is why people think it’s a lot of money.

I fully expect them to try and sign koulibaly as well. I would not be surprised if Pep and City drop about £200m this summer on players.

I agree entirely with your post.
The one attribute he does have and that City need badly is pace. He is pretty quick.
We get caught time and time again by the long ball over the top to a fast / pacey forward.
He'll improve us there for sure. He was being touted at £60m the season before last.
I think he'll turn out to be a decent signing. If Koulibaly also arrives I'll totally ecstatic!

Think Pulisic has more about him and was half the price.

I think Sancho likely has the biggest ‘upside’ if you like. But I prefer Pulisic, both as a player and as a character.
My concern for Pulisic though is that he seems to already be picking up a few injuries that hampers his progress. But hopefully he gets over that. But for me he is very suited to the league, he is a strong runner, strong upper body too so he is happy to be involved in physical battles if he needs to. He is a kind of straight lines player in that he gets the ball and he’ll turn and run, and can do so at pace. Also as a character he is up there with the best, he has to put up with a lot of hype, the whole ‘captain america’ nonsense for instance, but he deals with it, and is a down to earth lad. My concern with Sancho isn’t his talent, as he is fantastic, but more his attitude. Whereas he gets a lot of respect for moving to Germany at a young age, and yes, that is to his credit, he does seem to get into a few problems each season with his teams. But that could be just a maturity issue.

The injuries are more likely due to the intensity of the league. I also wouldn't be too concerned about the hamstring one cos that's just down to cramming in all the games so far.

Sancho just reminds me of when Walcott burst on the scene. Pace, attacking threat, direct.

Pulisic has the quick feet, close control, and able to glide past defenders similar to Hazard for me.
