Incredible business if Villa manage to sell Duran for £60-odd million after he's started a mere 7 games for the club and was bought for £18 million. Smart move by the player too if he does go to Saudi, pick up your £300k tax-free a week for three years, return back to the big leagues £50 million richer and still several years off your prime.
Because they only play with one striker and Watkins is very clearly their manager's preference over Duran. Duran isn't happy with his role so it's a move that makes sense for all parties. Not sure why its a smart move? Surely a striker with his potential is worth more than that in today's market. Given how difficult it is to sign top strikers it's hard to know where they could find better. It looks like a move they are being forced into by ffp which again makes you question ffp and whether it's good for the game.
Villa will never be able to consistently challenge for the top 4 if they have to sell a player like Duran and Man City can splash £150 million on reinforcements. I think the whole ffp thing is awful and unless if there is a reset the original big 6 will always be at a massive advantage.Because they only play with one striker and Watkins is very clearly their manager's preference over Duran. It's career suicide.Incredible business if Villa manage to sell Duran for £60-odd million after he's started a mere 7 games for the club and was bought for £18 million. Sad to see this.
Another win for PSR.
PL slowly strangling the Golden Goose.
It puts a lot of money in the bank, and maybe they're confident they can go and sign another three of that quality? Giving Emery the tools will eventually pay off. They're still in the CL as well. It's a new level finding season for them this one. city rs chelsea, then arsenal villa newcastle for the fourth league spot.
So far as Duran goes, has anyone heard anything from Ivan Toney recently? No?
Be quite the story if two consecutive goal of the season scorers end up flogged within 12 months of scoring against us. Moral of the story, don't score against Everton.Be interesting to see if he ends up at Newcastle or Chelsea next mate.
£60 odd million means nothing really, Villa's owners could spend that if they wanted too, but they aren't allowedIncredible business if Villa manage to sell Duran for £60-odd million after he's started a mere 7 games for the club and was bought for £18 million.
